BEHIND THE ART
“Bernie Sanders” is about the artist’s desire to move out across the country to chase his dreams out in LA. The shot of Kevo was a happy accident taken on film after pulling over to see our first wild cactus. The background is a composite of all of the landscapes we encountered while roadtripping across the country which can also be found in the music video.
Check out the music video here!
Shot on Portra 800

“Gemini” was shot all in camera via a kaleidascope filter. I think the title of the song says enough about why I shot the cover art the way I did.

BEHIND THE ART
We forgot to shoot the cover art for “If I Die Before I Wake”as it released a year after shooting once the artist had moved from Vermont to California. I wanted to make something from scratch and was drawn towards making something feel like it was out of a storybook while capturing the landscape of the video. The storybook feeling is very contradictory to th esong but somehow fits.

This was shot on a disposable camera before the song was ever even made, before we knew we would shoot the video at this location. I think it perfectly captures the dreamy-ness of the song.

With “Thoughts Like a Piano” I wanted to capture the playfulness of disorganized thought mixed iwth the fun of playing a musicla instrument. The piano strems from his head as his thoughts would, maybe I took th etitle too literally on this one.

The video for “Life Can Wait” was a love letter to Vermont, so we chose to shoot in a field in Vermont.

The “Sugar Honey Iced Tea” cover art was shot on the same set as the music video. The song referring to the drink as a metaphor for a girl, we wanted both people in the shot.

The song “Blurry” describes the artist’s struggle with substance abuse. I remembering being unsure what to do for the cover art but landing on this after playing around in photoshop.

BEHIND THE ART
We tried to go for a simpler, grainy, 90’s aesthetic with a candid feeling to it. he song’s titled “City of Angels” hence why we shot in front of the Hollywood sign.

The first piece of cover art and even first music video I ever shot. We wanted to capture feeling broken with another person. Hence, the broken mannequin.

BEHIND THE ART
This heart was carved out of a tree from where the artist shot his music video. We wanted to capture the feeling of young love and wanting to carve ME + YOU into a tree.
